The Erasmus Mundus SUD-UE is a grant programme to carry out academic activities in South America and in Europe. In order to be an eligible candidate it is required:

In SUD-UE third call, South American students must:

1.Belong to the Target Group 1 or Target Group 3 (see below Target Group description).

2. Be a national of one of the third-countries:

  • In the case of Target Group 1: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela.
  • In the case of Target Group 3: Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Perú.

3. Have not resided nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the eligible European countries at the time of submitting their application to the partnership.

4. Prove the language level required by the host university.

Please note that, on the one hand, undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies in their home institution at first higher education level and on the other hand, they must not be at their last year of studies at the moment they apply.

 

In SUD-UE third call, European students and staff must:

  1. Be a national of the European Union.
  2. Belong to Target Group 1.
  3. Prove the language level required by the host university.

Description of Target Groups:

TARGET GROUP 1:

  • For South American candidates: Are nationals of South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) who are registered or work in one of the South American Higher Education Institutions, member of the partnership at the time of submitting their application to the partnership.

In SUD-UE third call Latin American TG1 candidates have to be from Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela.

  • For European candidates: are nationals of the European Union who are registered or work in one of the European Higher Education Institutions, member of the partnership at the time of submitting their application to the partnership.

 

EUROPEAN APPLICANTS CAN APPLY TO:

Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Perú
Universida de la República, Uruguay
Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela

TARGET GROUP 3: Nationals of South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) concerned by the geographical lot who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for social and political reasons, i.e. applicants belonging to indigenous or afro-descendant groups. Please, note that a document proving this belonging will be requested.

In SUD-UE third call TG3 candidates have to be from Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: No student and no academic staff member can benefit from more than one mobility activity within the same project. Mobility must take place from South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) to Europe or vice-versa.
